One week later, I am still off coffee (yay!). And a lot less grumpy than when I first quit (double yay!). Although, I must confess that I am not entirely off caffeine yet. Snuck in a few (half) cups of tea over the past week, but nothing compared to how many I was thulping before. Feeling quite pleased with self.
Golu season is upon us. Starting our sundal rounds today. Sooo exciting! I have said enough and more about Golu in the past couple of years (see https://momto2cuddlebugs.wordpress.com/2013/10/02/its-beginning-to-look-a-lot-like/ and https://momto2cuddlebugs.wordpress.com/2012/10/13/navrathri-golu/). Only one thing to add this year. “Ditto”.
Little N fractured her wrist a couple of weeks back while trying out for soccer at school. She is not in pain anymore (thank goodness!) but she can’t do any activities through mid-October since she is now sporting a cast. Find self pining for her missed activities almost as much as little N herself (man, I got to get past this “mini me” thing!).
Between now and December, we will celebrate Golu, Deepavali, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Hopefully also sneak in a mini-vacation before the end of the year (N, are you listening?). It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well. Except for Summer, which is hands down my favorite.
Happy Navarathri to those that celebrate. And Happy Thursday to everyone else! 😉
